In 1922, a young lieutenant from the British Royal Air Force, Frank W. Michell, landed in Peru, drawn by the allure of exploring the enigmatic Andes. In his quest, he uncovered invaluable treasures, but one, in particular, captured his heart: the herds of majestic Alpacas grazing across the mountain ranges and the skilled weavers who spun their fibre with unparalleled grace.
